Support for ISO Standards Audits & Certification
Support for ISO Standards Audits & Certification
The ISO standards are internationally recognised and developed by experts to create voluntary, consensus-based international standards relevant to each market. By adopting ISO standards organisations build processes and systems that better protect their workers and customers.
Gaining an ISO certification is a strong signal to buyers, customers and stakeholders that you have implemented high quality standards and that you meet regulatory or contractual requirements. Even if they do not decide to go through the accreditation process, organisations can still benefit from using the standards as a base line for best practice.
The standards are grouped in ‘families’ and three of these are particularly applicable to the areas of health and safety.
Each of the ISO systems are applicable to any organisation regardless of its size, type and activities and all include the need for continual improvement.
ISO 45001:2018
Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems
Giving guidance to businesses to provide safe and healthy workplaces with a focus on preventing ill health and work related injury.
ISO 14001:2015
Environmental Management System
Helping organisations improve their environmental performance including waste reduction and improving their carbon footprint.
ISO 9001:2015
Quality Management Systems
Assisting companies to demonstrate they consistently provide products and services that meet customer and statutory requirements.

Areas Covered by ISO Audits and Assessments
Our team can carry out audits and assessments to identify any missing or weak areas of your business. We take into account the size and type of company so that audits are proportionate and our reports not only highlight issues and missing elements but help to formulate a plan and structure tasks to ensure your business and team work towards meeting the ISO requirements.
Below are a few examples of how we can support businesses trying to attain or prepare for re-certification for the ISO standards.
COSHH Air Quality Test
Examining your indoor air has safe levels of dust and fumes
Environmental Assessments
Measuring the impact of your business through waste, water or surrounding soils
External Air Quality Test
Assessing external emissions are within safe standards
Noise Assessments
Testing noise levels and ensuring correct protective equipment is used
ISO Certification
If you are looking to gain an ISO certification for your business or to re-certify, we can help. ISO do not have a certification body themselves, so, certification is through a third-party. Sureteam works with partners who are able to undertake this and we will be happy to organise this for you (if re-registering for your ISO certification this must be done within the three year period of your previous certification).
If you are already certified and are looking to assess where you stand as you continually strive for improvement, we would be happy to assess and advise.
We can also offer training for your staff on the areas covered by the ISO Standards so they can audit processes and systems in-house with the knowledge to identify any gaps. We have a range of trainer-led and E-learning training courses covering everything from Environmental assessments to COSHH audits.

We see Sureteam as a key extension to our own internal health and safety team here at Squared. Sharing many of our own values, and acting as a “critical friend”, they add real value across all levels of the organisation.
Having taken the time to get to understand who we are and what specific risks we face, means that their advice and training is always practical and relevant. They are always accessible and happy to help support anyone within the organisation and through our ever-evolving relationship we have been able to build and maintain a safe and secure organisation for our teams, customers and wider community.”
Claire Bryan, Director of People Excellence, Squared
The training that we received from Sureteam was fantastic. Peter was informative, knowledgeable and made the training accessible and relevant to us. Peter related all the information to the context of our setting and used examples to highlight the important information that we needed as well and giving us advise about what we could improve and take forward following the training.

Sureteam really are the whole package when it comes to Health and Safety providers. As an in-house Health and Safety Manager the safety of my staff and customers is paramount at all times but with the additional support of Sureteam I have added piece of mind that I am supported fully. Whether it is helping me to stay up to date with regulation changes, get a fresh set of eyes on our procedures or get additional, practical advice and support on new issues should they arise. Over the years I have developed a fantastic, close working relationship with the entire team at Sureteam and look forward to that continuing for many years to come.

Having worked with Sureteam since we started the business and been impressed by their expertise and professionalism, we knew that we wanted to partner with them for this larger project. Knowing that we could trust them absolutely to ensure our compliancy with the CDM Regulations and to deliver and provide high-quality health and safety advice, documents and training was so important to us, our sub-contractors and ultimately our client.
Our new two-tier contract system with Sureteam, really provides us with the flexibility and service that we require given the changeable nature of the projects we work on and helps ensure our budgets are spent wisely. Knowing we have their support in this way means we can tender for larger projects with confidence.
