Gap Analysis Audits

Get an Assessment of your Health and Safety Systems with a Gap Analysis Audit
As a business owner it can be difficult to stay in touch with all of the legislation involved in Health and Safety, understand if or how it impacts your own business and to be fully confident that what you have in place means you have everything covered.
Many business owners contact us because they are facing some, or all of the following concerns when it comes to their health and safety processes:
- They aren’t confident that they are fully compliant with every aspect of health and safety legislation.
- They feel that they have some areas of weakness in both their knowledge and / or processes.
- They think they might have gone overboard and have processes that aren’t practical for their business.
- They feel uncomfortable that the full responsibility for health and safety lies with them and would benefit from a second pair of eyes.
If any of the above sound familiar then we would recommend a Gap Analysis Audit.
This one off, fixed price audit can give the reassurance you need because it:
- Gives an Overview and a snapshot of the business’ health and safety
- Enables the business owner or senior management team to quickly see where there are strengths and weaknesses in Health and Safety processes
- Points to areas that need work and importantly advises what to do to close any gaps.

The Benefits of a Gap Analysis Audit
Get an Overview
A Gap Analysis Audit is the perfect starting point to see the full picture and overview of your health and safety systems. Feel confident that a Health and Safety expert has confirmed the areas where you have good controls and those which need tightening.
New Perspective
Our consultants come in with a fresh set of eyes looking at your processes and systems with an unbiased assessment and not influenced by past events and endeavours. They will also ensure what you have in place is practical for the risks involved.
Disruption Minimised
Much of the audit work can be undertaken remotely via email, phone or video calls and reviewing existing documentation. So, we need only come onsite as necessary, therefore reducing disruption to your team.
Fixed Price Quote
This type of audit is a one-off project and cost. We will give you a fixed price quote so you know exactly what the costs are and there is no obligation to work with Sureteam in the future and therefore no ongoing financial commitment*.
*But should you wish to engage us to support you with work to address any issues then of course we would be happy to do so. We can work with you on a project basis or on a retained basis (in which case the audit fee is deducted from your retained fees.)
How does a Gap Analysis Audit Work?
Once we’ve had an initial, no obligation consultation with you and you’ve accepted our fixed-price quote we will commence the audit.
There are 3 key stages.
- Paperwork Analysed – You supply us with key paperwork for our team to take a look at and answer any questions honestly.
- Site Visit – A site visit is arranged if it is necessary.
- Report Written – Our consultant writes up a report detailing the areas where you are compliant or not and gives details of the next steps to take to address any gaps.

We see Sureteam as a key extension to our own internal health and safety team here at Squared. Sharing many of our own values, and acting as a “critical friend”, they add real value across all levels of the organisation.
Having taken the time to get to understand who we are and what specific risks we face, means that their advice and training is always practical and relevant. They are always accessible and happy to help support anyone within the organisation and through our ever-evolving relationship we have been able to build and maintain a safe and secure organisation for our teams, customers and wider community.”
Claire Bryan, Director of People Excellence, Squared
The training that we received from Sureteam was fantastic. Peter was informative, knowledgeable and made the training accessible and relevant to us. Peter related all the information to the context of our setting and used examples to highlight the important information that we needed as well and giving us advise about what we could improve and take forward following the training.

We receive a very professional service from Sureteam and have the knowledge of knowing we can contact them and will receive excellent expert advice. I would have no hesitation in recommending them as a company who always provide what they promise.

Sureteam really are the whole package when it comes to Health and Safety providers. As an in-house Health and Safety Manager the safety of my staff and customers is paramount at all times but with the additional support of Sureteam I have added piece of mind that I am supported fully. Whether it is helping me to stay up to date with regulation changes, get a fresh set of eyes on our procedures or get additional, practical advice and support on new issues should they arise. Over the years I have developed a fantastic, close working relationship with the entire team at Sureteam and look forward to that continuing for many years to come.
Gill Findlay, Installation QH+S Manager – Langley Design
Having worked with Sureteam since we started the business and been impressed by their expertise and professionalism, we knew that we wanted to partner with them for this larger project. Knowing that we could trust them absolutely to ensure our compliancy with the CDM Regulations and to deliver and provide high-quality health and safety advice, documents and training was so important to us, our sub-contractors and ultimately our client.
Our new two-tier contract system with Sureteam, really provides us with the flexibility and service that we require given the changeable nature of the projects we work on and helps ensure our budgets are spent wisely. Knowing we have their support in this way means we can tender for larger projects with confidence.
