Highfield Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)

Emergency First Aid at Work Training Course

Our First Aid at Work training course is suitable for low risk work environments, such as offices and shops and/or organisations with fewer than 100 employees. For regulatory purposes, successfully completing the Highfield Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work will enable the candidate to act as a first aider in the workplace.

What is Included?

This first aid at work course includes a number of practical activities and a multiple choice exam which will enable you to achieve your Level 2 Award and become an official first aider in your workplace.

During the day you will learn:

  • Roles and responsibilities of a first aider
  • Assessing an incident
  • Unconscious casualties
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
  • How to deal with choking, external bleeding, shock and minor injuries

This course will provide you with the essential skills that any first aider should hold. With the opportunity to practise your skills throughout the day you will quickly and easily pick up everything you need to know to successfully complete the course.

Our resident first aid trainer, Penny Thomas, has trained more first aid training courses than she would like us to mention but has worked closely with Sureteam for the last four years.

Who Should Attend?

This course is designed for people who want to deliver first aid and are best suited to being the nominated first aider in your work environment. That being said, anyone can take this course if you believe you will benefit from it.

As mentioned above this course is designed for low risk environments with fewer than 100 employees, if you do not fit into this criteria then the Level 3 Award in First Aid is probably more suitable for you.

Duration and Location

1 day Course – 9:15 – 16:30 with 1 hour break for lunch.

The courses are held on the last Wednesday of every month, at our Tetbury site.

There will be a break for lunch and you are free to bring your own sandwiches/packed lunch or these can be purchased from the local shops which are a short walk from the venue.
